Financial Assistance

CFHA wants to see your player on the ice. There are individual Grants available to subsidize the cost of Registration. The player is to register for these grants and if successful, the funding will go directly to CFHA to cover the cost of registration.

KidSport – UP to $400 per child/year

KidsSport works to ensure that no kid is ever left watching from the sidelines.

 

KidSport supports children who need financial assistance with sport registration fees and equipment costs. We believe that the power of sport participation promotes the development of

children's social, mental and physical well being. Through increasing access to quality sport programs, KidSport strengthens communities across Canada.

 

Our chapter accepts applications and administers grants of up to $400 per child/year, for kids who live in Fredericton, Moncton, Saint John, or in one of the other communities we serve.

Jump Start Individual Grant

Jump Start is removing financial barriers. Sometimes, families need financial assistance to get their kids into a sport or physical activity. We're committed to helping all families access a range of activities, from boxing to bowling and skating to skiing, and more.

Hockey Canada Assist Fund - Individual Grants

The Hockey Canada Foundation Assist Fund is a fund dedicated to help Canadian youth access hockey. It will provide up to $500 per player in registration fee subsidies to approved applicants registered with a sanctioned Hockey Canada association. Financial eligibility for the Assist Fund is based on the Low Income Cut-Off (LICO) guidelines from Statistics Canada, which are an integral part of our application process.

Brendon Oreto Foundation

The Brendon Oreto Foundation is a nonprofit organization to assist families who have difficulty providing equipment and fees for their children.  Brendon Oreto was a former Fredericton AAA player who excelled at hockey before his accidental death in December 1998, at the age of 19. The Brendon Oreto Foundation was established to honour Brendon and preserve memories of him and his accomplishments. The Foundation provide local families with hockey equipment
